Labor Day Fun Fact:  By 1893, more than half the states were observing a "Labor Day" on one day or another, and a bill to establish a federal holiday was passed by Congress in 1894. President Grover Cleveland signed the bill soon afterward, designating the first Monday in September as Labor Day. 
SO HAPPY LABOR DAY THIS MONDAY!  NO SCHOOL.

SPELLING:  This week, begin please complete Unit FOUR (you choose the 4 pages) Please do your best work on the written piece please.  Please rip out the spelling pages and attach to the cover sheet. PLEASE KEEP THE SPELLING BOOK AT HOME.  For extra practice, write in cursive.  We will have a spelling test on Friday, so please study your words throughout the week.
